Monica Taverniti

Monica Taverniti (Torino, 1969) is an architect and designer. She works mainly in the field of interior design, furnishing and installation. Her studio work has always run in parallel with multiple curiosities regarding contemporary art practices and mechanical design, infusing her imagination with cinema, paintings, comic books and literature. She’s comfortable with freehand drawing as a tool for develop- ment in the design process. The tailor-made objects she designs are furniture-sculptures from pop memories, architectural prototypes of a world to come, anarchical devices involving the observer in a reciprocal redefinition of their sense and function.

She lives and works in Turin.
