Description
Jeong Greem explores the shape of an organic piece at the boundary between depth and flatness. Mono series, the representative work that signifies ‘singleness’, is located in space in a nonstereotyped shape just like drawing with a single line. The properties of the material itself had a great influence on the series of works, which is a lifeless object, but its organic curves even feel dynamic. Industrial materials, which were mere ‘parts’, are used as the main material of the work, thereby transforming the supplementary material into the main material, which creates new value and blurs the boundary between aesthetics and purpose. The interactive objet beyond the typical form of existing objects stimulates the audience’s sense, imagination, and curiosity, and also induces communication between humans and objects.
